About Judi
Since 2004, I have been on a mission to make the built environment inclusive for everyone, while helping to improve accessibility for disabled people. As a designer and NRAC accredited access consultant, I work alongside architects, designers and creatives as a critical friend to help ensure that the finished project will be inclusive and accessible for as many people as possible to use and enjoy. I also work directly for organisations requiring recommendations for reasonable adjustments and to advise on their legal duties under the Equality Act 2010. I have a particular interest in autism and how the built environment can play a significant part in enhancing everyone’s lives.
I have 30+ years plus experience working as an interior designer and strategic space planner primarily on commercial projects in London as well as occasional residential projects. I now focus mainly on supporting architects during the RIBA Plan of Work stages to help ensure that the design proposals are inclusive and will be acceptable to the Planning Authority and Building Control or the Approved Inspector.
