2020
Project Background
New River Head is a grade II* listed building which was formerly the Metropolitan Water Board (Thames Water) headquarters, now converted into luxury apartments.
The south elevation facing Hardwick Street has a Beaux-Arts classical style with steps providing access between the pavement and the raised principal ground floor entrance.
Inclusive Design Scope
I was appointed to carry out an access audit of the exterior environment and interior common parts working with the heritage architect to explore potential improvements to access for residents, staff and visitors using wheelchairs and pushchairs.
