Project Background
Black Robin Farm lays in the outstandingly beautiful natural landscape near Beachy Head in the South Downs National Park. The former dairy farm and holiday cottages are to be redeveloped into a new arts, educational and cultural centre while retaining and enhancing the existing heritage buildings. Towner Eastbourne, will operate the site once work has been completed.
Inclusive Design Scope
In 2023, I was commissioned by Eastbourne Borough Council (EBC) in the role of access consultant to work alongside both the inhouse architectural design team at EBC and Feilden Fowles Architects. My remit covered end of RIBA stage 2 through Stage 3 and I’m delighted to say that this sensitive project was awarded planning permission in February 2024.
